Default question about dunlop tires

i have an 07 road glide with the stock tires on. i was riding in the rain last night and i could not keep the rear tire from locking up and sliding all over the place. no matter how lightly i touched the rear brake. i dont have trbl on dry days. are the dunlop stock tires that bad in the rain.

You weren't, by chance, riding in the center of the road, were you?

Never had a problem with Dunlops in the rain. I try and stay out of the center of the road (oil from cars) and I try and stay away from all painted road markings.

Ah wouldn't drop the pressure - you'll more'n likely cup the tire. Ah run 'lops on mine (ain't 'nuff miles ta replace 'em yet anyways), an' will run 'em again when these wear out. The ME's have had their share of problems, but the main thing is that ah've not have wet road issues with 'em. Usually it's an outside issue - hittin' the #$)! painted stripes, oil/diesel on the surface, etc.

I've ridden a couple thousand miles in the rain on the Dunlops and haven't had a problem. But you gotta go light on the pedal and adjust to the conditions.
