CFR's are just cheap and if you seek out cheap , cheap is what you get.

Cheap? You guys are making me nervous. I just spent a sh*t load to order these largely based on everything I read here. Other than the back pressure issue, everything I've read has been positive. Currently have Jackpot headers 2-1-2 and V&H twin slash round mufflers. Been looking for more sound thinking these might be just what I want.

Let me know how that works out for you.. Seriously you might have the best insight to what it is i want to know. You have a head pipe and slip-ons, and you want more sound from the CFR's. please let me know if they produce more sound than your current set-up.

CFRs are expensive as hell. Knockoffs are cheap on eBay.

I had the Vance & Hines Twin slash rounds matched up with the Cobra Power Ports they sounded good, however I changed over to the CFRs and the CFRs are a LOT deeper and louder, so I do have first hand experience with the difference of the two mufflers, if this helps anyone.

I have recently changed over to the Vance & Hines Power Duals and they slightly mellowed out the CFRs not a huge change in volume but noticeable.

I do know from a side by side comparison the CFRs are louder than both the V&H high out puts and the 450s
both bikes had the Power Duals just like mine, one was a 13 limited and the other was a 14 SGS, basic stage one on all three bikes so comparing was apples to apples as some will say

I have a sound clip on my profile if anyone is interested, with the CFRs with the CPP.

Gut the cat before you say nay - either replace altogether, remove it from you stock header or (cheapest of all) buy one on ebay already modified - not a great deal of difference in sound or performance vs aftermarket.

Uhhh???? What is a statement like that even supposed to mean? Price..... Nope, not cheap!!! Fit and finish...... Nope, very well built. Sound..... Debatably up there with the best of them. The one thing that Cfrs don't excell in is the performance department, however I just recently had my bike Dyno tuned and actually achieved good numbers with a nice torque curve. 90hp with 112tq the tq curve broke 100 at 2700rpm. Now I will admit my tuner said it took some work to get it as good as it is and yes there was most likely a little left on the table due to my pipes but it definitely wasn't the horror story some have claimed.
