Question: Soldering Throttle By Wire (Ape Hanger Install)
I already know to cut out the green plug. That's where I'll be adding the wire extensions.
I just need to know if I can solder the TBW with the traditional "twist and solder" method or if its best to lay the wires flat, straight on top of each other and solder in place.
I read that even a little change in resistance can throw the whole system out of whack and I dont want to **** around with that.
Either way will work fine. I've done it both ways. As long as you have a good connection you'll have no problems.
Oh and be prepared for the ones that'll tell you it's a sin if you do it this way LOL.

I broke all of the rules. I soldered my extensions on the other end of all of my wires. Then I found that the green plug wouldn't go past the point on my handlebars to allow the TBW to seat. I then cut and soldered the wires attached to it's plug down to around 2" so the plug didn't need to be pulled through the point. Two solder joints on each TBW connection and it runs great.
