I'm looking for a headset that includes a boom mic for my HJC 3/4 helmet. I've got two requirements.
1. Speakers thinner than the ones with the freebie HD headset I got with my 2012 Ultra.
2. Clamp type system for securing the cord to the helmet. The iMC Motorcom
HS-H13P model uses double sided tape and I'm not a fan it.
You might want to at least look at a J & M set. I don't know how thick yours is but I just bought one for a half helmet and to my surprise I had to turn the volume down from where it was set with the Harley set I have for my modular. Seems like a very good product.

I've been looking at J&M. Which one do you use, the Elite or Performance? There's quite a bit of difference in the cost.

Thanks.

I don't if I had to or not but I went with Performance. That appeared to be the only one that would work easily with a half helmet. But I don't know if that will be thin enough for you. Thickness wasn't an issue with me but the speakers seem rather thin although I don't have a helmet over my ears with the half helmet.
I went to my local Suzuki dealer who said he could get it and if I didn't like it I could return it. Not sure if you can do that with internet stuff. He sold it to me for the same price as Motorcycle Superstore and I didn't have to pay shipping. I do that with everything I get. See what my local can do first after I've checked the internet.
Call J&M, they are very helpful. I have a Shoei and it has shallow, oval shaped pockets for the speakers. When I talked to them, they said that they had a set that would fit but the sound quality wasn't as good. I opted for the Elites and modified the helmet to accept them. They can also modify your helmet if you're not comfortable doing it.
u can take some foam out from behind the speaker pockets, one nice thing about j&m is they have a tail that hangs down for your cord to plug into makes it much easier than removing the lid to plug it in.
