08 seat confusion
Recently bought an 08 Electra Glide Classic. I have friends with older Electra Glides running Road Glide Seats. So I bought an 08 Road Glide seat thinking it would fit and no way. Tab is on seat not on bike. Most one piece seats either fit up to 07 or 09 or newer. I looked into Ultimate seats and the 2 piece fits 08 and up but 1 piece fits 09 and up. Called and they said one piece won't fit an 08. I want to use the Road Glide seat but doesn't look like it will work. Help!
Sounds like you got a 07 or older seat, the 08 and newer seats will work on your bike with no problem. The best Road Glide seat is an 08 seat, it has a ton of foam in it, the 09 seat is made on the Hammock seat pan and the passenger section is awesome but the driver's section is just okay, in 2010 they put the Street Glide seat on the Road Glides, Terrible for the passenger and just okay for the driver.

Whomever sold you the seat as 08 hosed you. 08 and up seats have tab on tank, not seat. 07 and down tabs are on seat
