I have a Sena SMH5 headset. It is paired to my Galaxy S5 phone and works fine. I also have a Garmin Nuvi 255 on the bike I use as a GPS. The Garmin has no bluetooth, and even if it did, it wouldnt pair up with a headset because Garmin uses a 1234 code and most headsets use 0000 because Garmin wants to sell its 600 dollar Zumo which I dont want to buy. Anyway, I can see the screen but not hear the audio from the GPS (turn right 500 feet)
I bought a iclever IC-BT001 Bluetooth transmitter which can pair up to a 0000 code, 1234, or 8888, and I am had a female earphone jack put on the exterior of the Garmin to attempt to get it to pair up to the Sena (in other words, trying a cheap way out instead of buying the Zumo) so that I can hear the audio from the GPS.
I have tried and tried to pair this up to the Sena SMH5, but so far no luck. I tried using a Ipod Nano and it still wouldnt pair up.
Anyone got any ideas about how to pair this up except to buy a Zumo or a Tom Tom (eww).
