These days I just don't understand why anyone would change from belt to chain.
Looks like your rear cylinder is leaking oil, you got your work cut out for you, electrical in the fairing, drive line broken and oil leaks.
Sure hope you got the bike cheap.
Thank you for your input. Appreciate the positive feed back. Bike had a chain on it. From what I have seen its easier to replace/fix on the side of the road. Yes I got the bike cheap. Knew what I was getting myself into. Motor is coming out tranny also. I just want to do as much wrenching as possible to save money plus I love doing it.
I wrench on all my cars and now bike.
I even went and bought a service manual today. Wasn't in stock. being delivered. Meantime what are forums for?
Ok so I got the whole bike torn down. Powder coated the frame. Now that I decided to go to a road king instead of a road glide. Im selling my road glide stuff.
My question is the bike originally is a 04 can I go up to 05 06 or 07? Im already buying a harness to go roadking. any benefits?
Man, I'd sure like to take that Roadie stuff off your hands. My effing bank account says different though. One way to tell about parts interchangeability is to go here http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.....asp?make=hdmc. Look up the same part for the different years. Good luck, sounds like a fun project.
