I have 2005 Road King Classic and I want to hook up a power connector with USB to the accessory switch that is on the left side of the triple clamp shroud. In my owners manual it states that there is an accessory connector located under the seat that can be activated with the ACC switch.
I have looked all over under the seat and can not locate this connector. Can anyone please tell me where this connector is on the 2005 Road King Classic?
I see wires going to the accessory switch on the triple clamp shroud but can't find the connector to attach the wires from the new USB power connector that I want to Install.
Thanks
it should be in front of the battery, maybe tucked up under the backbone. its a small plastic rectangular box 4 wires going into one end and a rubber cap on the other, under the cap will be 4 small holes, they accept duetch connectors u can use crimp ons for around 10 cents or get the harley harness for around 20$.

The only plug I see in front of the battery is a gray female plug about 2" long and about 3/8" square with no cover on it. It is a push and click together type. If I look in the repair manual it looks like the accessory connector I'm looking for should be strapped to this gray connector.
u can use a crimp on duetch connecter u need the male end it looks like a small banana plug. or the harley acc harness its around 12-20$ the crimps are like 12 cents.

I see J&P Cycles sell Deutsch 4 pin connectors.Does anyone know which one (Part#) will fit the 2005 Road King. I really do not need the pigtail from Harley at this time.
Thanks.
And to avoid further frustration. The plug has 4 wires
on with ignition
On with acc switch
On with brake switch
Ground
Depending on how you want the accessory to be powered is how you choose to wire the male side of the plug. I had added brake lights to my 99 FLHT that were plugged into ACC plug and they came on with brakes. Then I put HD's splitter on the plug and had my heated grips plugged in so they were on with ACC switch while the brake lights came on with brakes. On my '08 I plugged a 12v power port into it which is on with ignition, regardless of position of ACC switch.
