Default Tour pack security

Up graded to a '15 RGS & got the detachable tour pack. I put the locking security latches from HD on today, what junk. I was pushing up on both of the retractable keepers with my thumbs while re attaching & the tumblers & springs flew out. I'm a little disgusted. Is there anyone who makes an after market security latch that is any good ? Any DIY tricks or tips ?

Thanks

looked at the Harley locks and agree they looked cheap and I could find no positive reviews. I have the ESM clamp locks on my Road King for the past 2 years. Very simple design and very effective for securing them from the casual thief but a pro would still get them.

Did a quick search and this is the company but their site didn't work well for me on my computer. Might work for you or give them a call to see if they are still in business.

Hope this helps.

I'm not aware of theft of tour paks being a big thing. Thats why I have insurance.

Been all over the country, never had a problem.

Have a solo mount tourpak on mine when touring. You can't put HD security latches on a solo rack so I went with the Brukus kit, which ain't foolproof but it's better than nothing.

If a thief wants it they will get it no matter what. I use simple zip ties, the 1/4" wide ones. Will keep the casual one from getting it off, a pro will have pliers to use whether good locks or zip ties in my opinion..
