sloppy shift linkage

2014 street glide has loose linkage at the toe heel, bolts are tight, common problem ??

The shaft going through the primary is hardened steel, the shift levels are relatively soft and the splines do wear out. My toe shifter stripped coming home from Sturgis, luckily I had a spare in the form of a heal shifter. All you can do us make sure the new levers go on clean and tight and with loctight.

If the shift levers remain loose for a while,the splines will wear out.
Remove the old one(s)and and check the splines.
Also check the splines on the shaft.

I would take it to the dealer, have heard of this a few times, Buddy had this on his 15 RG, tried to tighten the bolt's, got worse, took it to a dealer on one of our rides, they were cool, and fixed for him. I think they were some put on wrong at the factory

Hey Don, if I bought that, I would not consider that an upgrade !!! I'm an evo man !!LOL !!!asking about this to fix Paul's (Chico's) bike, I did get it tighter but back to the stealer it goes. We should ride soon !!
