Don't see how you guys can say it's not much of a deal.
Why ask for opinions and then argue? They gave you several reasons why they don't think it's a good deal but if YOU think it's a good deal, like the color and options and get a warranty with it then you should buy it. period
...... you've not mentioned any options included or if it's a Std or Special
..... NADA lists low retail @ 15,500 for one w/no options & Kelly Blue lists excellent retail @ 19,500.
......... somewhere in that range is a by-the-book sale, ..... your opinion may vary
.. either way, it's gonna be a 2 yr old motorcycle in 5 days.
When I bought my 2012 sg new, the asking price was around 19k. That was also my otd price with them picking up all the fees and taxes. see if you can make that happen.
Forget buying used in Cal. Used bikes are cheaper out of State. I just bought an 11 RK with 103, cruise and abs for $8500 + $500 shipping. And, Cal taxes will not be based on actual purchase price Cant do that at a dealership.
Used bikes are not bringing top dollar, I got 11,750 trade on my 10 SG with 36,000 miles on it. Felt I got a good deal, tried to sell it for 14,, best offer was 12k,,, NO one came to see it. The 12k was sight unseen over the phone. Bike was clean, nothing wrong with it.
So my dealer has a 2014 Street Glide with 6,400 miles on it. It was first listed a $19,999 and dropped to 16,998 over the last 3 months. Went in last night to check it out. Rides great, but there is a little fading of the plastic around the radio but other than that super clean bike. Offered me $18,656 OTD. I guess my question is would there be any reason y they would go so low on this bike.
Offer 17, OTD,,, smile if you get it, leave if you don't I just paid 21,700 plus fees for my 15 RGS,, and got .99% financing...
