Default part fitting

I have a local bike guy that is selling some parts off his 2008 Street Glide. How would I go about finding out if they will fit my 1997 Electra Glide Classic? When I say local it's 40 min drive so I was hoping to make sure they fit prior to making the ride.

Chrome neck and frame rail covers is what I'm looking at

According to this http://www.moccsplace.com/harley/changes/index.htm there were no frame changes between 97 and 09, so you should be good to go.

Seats fit 97 to 07 however because the 08 got the 6 gallon tank. Almost everything else should swap.
