Default Throttle cable adj.

Im a 1st timer, in the process of doing the 10k complete service and I removed the right grip and oiled the cables as per service book. I noticed there is a little slop/slack in the cables. Do I need to do a complete system adj. or just adj the the back up cable? Thanks. Dan

As long as the idle cable is closing the throttle properly and the other cable is opening the throttle all the way, leave it alone.

Did you adjust the cables back to the way they were? Is everything working /cruise throttle returns properly etc. If it is leave it alone..If not you say you have service manual adjustment is in book pretty straight forward on non cruise models a little more complex on cruise models..

It has cruse and I put it back where it was. It just feels funny. It is a lot easier to move now and I feel the small amount of slack. And yes the cruse does work. Trying to learn to do it right. Thanks for the reply. Dan

Probably a lot easier to move because you lubed the cables My clutch cable felt too easy and I thought the same, but it was just because I lubed it and that is the way it should have felt.

It's supposed to be that way, it takes a little getting used to but it's okay.
