Not that I EVER had any doubt anything from Baker, but Mark's prompt attention to helping out a fellow member here sure reassures me.
I got a '14 Glide w/7500 miles and a comp sprocket sounding like a rod knock, Harley says it normal
I know what my solution is
Sounds like the problem has been solved. I guess he rotated the crank and it fell in to place. I'll try to get more specifics.
Mark your tha man. I knew it had to be something stupid because no one has had a problem yet putting one in a stock bike that I heard of. Baker Trans customer service is top notch!
Ok I am needing a compensator. Talked to the guys at Baker at Sturgis this year. Very knowledgeable folks. Should have picked it up there but didn't. Now I am kicking myself. So placing the order on Monday.
Bike is home. Starts and shuts off without the clunk. Shifts through gears smoother and quieter. The only noise I have is the primary chain because of the manual tensioner. The problem he was having was 1) doing the instructed step 2 on page 5 and 2) the end of my crank is not true (what Harley crank is anymore) which also caused the measurement to be off. He said the chain is a little looser than he likes to put them but its what he had to do to keep it from going rubber band tight on the tight spots. I think I can live with the noise knowing I'm not putting stress on the primary bearing/trans main bearing. It defiantly don't howl like it did before, probably because the chain was to tight. Great customer service with Baker to get this problem solved, thanks Mark.

I picked mine up in Sturgis. Finally installed it tonight. Will take it out tomorrow and see what I think.

Mark did you ever get more specifics on this? I am installing the Baker compensator and attitude adjuster on my 2011 electra glide classic and I'm out of spec on chain alignment. It's not by much but not with in spec. Compensator is at .94 mm (out) which is only .18 mm off from the .76mm tolerance. Should the extension shaft be milled down?

Now I'm not sure what the deal is, I tried removing the rotor to see if anything was in keeping it from seating correctly but can't get it off with inner primary case on... So I put the compensator back on and now I'm getting around 1.28mm out... I have noticed a variance by how "snug" the compensator bolt is...
