we use a small carry on suitcase it fits perfectly on the tourpack rack and my wife has figured out how to pack 4 days of clothes in it with no problems!!!!!!!! why spend big bucks on harley luggage? you probably have a small suitcase already!
Saddleman makes a great tour pack bag, and it has the straps built in on the bottom. Very clean looking, and you can access what is in the bag without having to take it off the bike. It also has pockets on the sides, as well as a waterproof cover that opens from a self-contained, "hidden" pocket on the bag. When we travel, my wife has the tour pack bag and 1/2 of the Saddleman bag -- I get the other 1/2 of the saddleman bag...
See attached upload for details on the look of the bag on the bike...
I have the expandable bag in the HD catalog tour section. about $80.00. Velcros to the tour rack and has reflective piping. My saleman "who I like very much" told me to just put a trash bag inside to make it completly waterproof. Only problems is you can over pack it and when it is full you can tell a difference in handling and weight. Have to learn not to take so much stuff. Just too much damn stuff.
