i have true duals, and got rid of the right side heat, except now i have left side heat. the left pipe really heats up at idle. i have to put my foot up on the board to keep it from burning my leg. once you start moving, it immediately cools off, and you can touch it no problem. normal?

Don't let the True Dual club members and president see you complaining of heat!!! That was their number one excuse/rationale for changing out the pipes! You'll be bounced out on your ear if you keep that up. Just ride it till your socks catch on fire and don't tell anyone.
Lie, deny, and justify. That's how you sway the people!! Now start practicing this if you want to keep up in here. AndWHATEVER you do, ignore those that actually have a clue.[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
So who told you Air cooled big twins dont get hot? Smack them for lying to you! all harleys get hot, always have aiways will. "once you start moving, it immediately cools off"
Can we say, "Air Cooled" .LOL
Sure it's normal , you moved most of the rear cylinder heat from the right side and moved it to the left side.
I was worried about the heat as it is so close to the left cover.
These babies get really warm at stoplights anyway.
Just another nature of the beast thing.

i know of a mod that is guaranteed to work, but its kind of risky, and dont know if im willing to try it...... eating less, and walking a block or two. then my fat leg wouldnt hang down and hit the pipe. frankly id rather be burned.
