Default HD cam install kit(bearing?)

OnPicked up today, very disappointed with the bearings it (chine w\no marking). So thinking about getting a better one that went bad(front outer). It just had the bearings from a screaming eagle kit put in, but PO couldn't get plate to pump oil , didn't get the plug needed for 99. So they put them in the old plate w\new old style tensioner. Wondering what brand the screaming eagle bearings are. Also does anybody no where to gt good bearings or part numbers to them so can search.

The tensioner failed (pits)at 11000 miles, that got in bearing again & tears up cage. Pieces fell out when opened up cam chest. Thinking of taking the HD kit back getting gaskets from J&P & outer bearings from skf or something better if you all can steer me in the right direction. Thought just putting in what I picked up but will always be wishing I had used better.

From what I heard Purvis Bearings is about the best
you can get if they make the right size and shape of
what you are needing. Toss Purvis Bearings into Goggle
and see what you can come up with.

I upgraded to gear drive cams and Torrington inner cam bearings on my '00 S/E Road Glide in Jan '11 at 81,000 miles. (I believe the S/E's are Torrington.)

I'm now at 151,000 miles and still haven't had a reason to have to open up that cam chest since then.

This is a low budget repair, but I don't want to put cheap bearings in that don't last. The ones I have will probly work longer than the last ones as it won't have plastic pits coming at it after I put the SE plate it. But the rest the bearings are better. Could get cheap gasket kit & one good bearing cheaper than what Harley gave me & be better off I feel. But searching I find full sets or it doesn't say what kind of bearing it is. If I have a koyo number for the ball bearing I could search it or call Detroit ball bearing or something of the like. I guess I could measure it & find a match but that's harder to get right for the application.

OK took it apart & found out That when they fixed it before my purchase the guy only changed the one bad bearing the one that went bad was the rear outer was toast. So going to thinking of changing them all with the cheap ones I have & using the old pump. Run it a week to make sure any shaving are gone before installing the SE pump then changing to all good bearings. The sad thing is the bearing that failed had a nice no name replacement in the box I got with all the SE stuff but all the inner bearings seam cheap same amount of rollers, 3 sets the ones just bought, in the bike & the ones in the box. Still not sure where to get these good bearings(torginton?). Looking for a bearing tool to install. Seams like on the 99 the only way for chips to get to the crank case is threw the crank bearing.

If you're talking inner bearings, you can get the SE ones at HD as they are the Torringtons

Replaced my cam bearings on my 2000 Soft Tail Standard at 45k miles, just use the newer style from HD.. worked well for another 10k.
