Okay so yesterday I just installed some HID lights on my 07 road glide, afterwards I noticed my tail light wasn't working, but the brake light does... Took the fairing off again this morning thinking I may have pinched a wire, but everything looks fine. Tried a new light bulb and that didn't help at all either.... Is this a common problem? I don't know if it went out when I was doing the headlights or before?? Kinda lost here as I don't see anything wrong and I don't really wanna bring it to the dealership..
if you have run lights on the front turn signals, then your fuse is good-
you'll just have to trace the blue wire ( run light) back from the tail to the front. there is a connector under the seat, see if you have power there.
when tracing power a trouble light can be really handy- often better than a meter

Don't have an idea about the fix for this but was wondering who could/would help you out-figured Mike would be along directly. Mike, thanks in advance for the help I'll need one day It's great to have a forum like this and members like you, and others, who have the the knowledge to assist folks along with the willingness to do so. Appreciate you!
Just noticed I have no running lights on my turn signals either, I'll have to check that fuse a little later... Thanks for the info! Sure hope that's all that's wrong with it!
15 amp fuse- you can get replacement fuses which have a little led which lights if the fuse blows
look at the blowed fuse----if the fuse material is spattered and black inside the fuse, then you have or had a short circuit.
if it is just sagged and parted, an overload.
do a really good check- I think the hid kits are junk- make sure it won;t hurt your bike or screw up your radio
it's not so much the antenna- the hid stands for high intensity discharge- the kit is radiating radio energy ( RF), it may also be introducing current into your wiring harness via the ground
relocating the antenna may help
I have had my car radio pick up noise from other cars
the RF interference can also screw with your ECM
you may be able to remediate that with a capacitor on the power line, or by shielding the ballast ( but cooling may be an issue)
Most HID systems are not DOT approved, and sold on ebay.
buyer beware
I have had the running light issue with my Road Glide several times. The front turn signals wires have always been the culprit. Ensure they are tucked into the fairing completely and not getting pinches between the outer and inner.
