I just my bike back from the shop yesterday, they installed speaker lids and amp. When I left I noticed that the left speakers works and sounds fantastic, but the right is quiet and distorted. I got some riding to do this weekend and was wondering if it was a potential easy fix, don't feel like waiting till Monday.
If anyone has some tips or idea, please let me know. I feel like fiddling and would like to get this road king rockin'
You can check the basic stuff, but since it's brand new I wouldn't screw with much, it's their problem to fix. Certainly check that all the connections are tight and that there's no visible wire damage (I wouldn't pull anything they routed out just because they could turn around and blame it on you).
Also check the speaker itself to see if anything in the bag is interfering with it or if the cone is smashed. Make sure the speaker is mounted flush in the grill so the speaker body isn't all torqued up. A buddy of mine had a grill plate mounting screw come out on his car install and it bounced around in the speaker cone and sounded like crap.
