i have an 07 ultra classic with rinehart true duals and a premapped power commander 3 on it...after the power commander 3 install....it seems that the bike has an off idle miss....like it hits a dead spot or something......my dealer said something about a accelerator pump and the problem would be fixed.any ideas
Accelerator Pump feature is not needed on harleys, most likly its your throttle position has not been set. If you get out your laptop, its a 2 minute reset or have dealer that installed it fix it.
I still have a very small dead spot right off of idle also. But only if I blip the throttle, if I roll it on its not there. Even after setting everything and a dyno. I will be starting to mess with mine shortly to see if I can get rid of it as soon as I get my laptop. I think I may be to rich at idle.

I have an 07 road king with true dual Vance & Hines exhaust,I have the same problem,plus,popping through the pipes,and a decrease in top end power.I have installed dozens of power commanders in my shop with no problems(all on 88" motors or jap cruisers)Did the dealer dyno tune the bike? If not, that would be the next step.If the did you might want to go to a HD race tuner.....Chopperdawg
I don't know how close it would be but I have a map for a 07 with Rinehart TD's and a k&n a/f! Bike ran very good with this map from Jamie at Fuel-Moto! If you want to try it I would be glad to send it to you!
The accelerator pump feature is mainly for drastic throttle changes as in when you really whack the throttle, i can't imagine it would really do much off idle, as usually you are feathering the clutch and not just dumping it while pegging the Tach.
