Following on from Mike's alternative of simply unbolting your tourpak, on my older bike I bought a military style multi-pin socket and plug for the tourpak wiring. I terminated the internal wiring at the socket, which I mounted in the base of the tourpak (front left corner), wired the plug into the tourpak harness, so I literally twist to connect/disconnect. Takes only a few minutes. I don't have a radio, but the aerial should be simple to solve, perhaps mount it permanently.
