It will, Deka is the OEM manufacturer of Harley batteries, black HD battery.......$180, grey Deka battery.........$125(ish)
==================
FYI,in the event you ever need or want one the deka etx30l for hd is avail online for a few bucks cheaper then you think @ approx $100 to you door as shown in the links i posted earlier in this thread vs HD's $180.
HD's stupid high price on that battery in just another example of bean counters @ HD being stupid because you know with the amount of batteries hd must buy from deka just for new bikes that they must get a huge discount maybe paying $40-50 each or maybe less because we can buy them online for $100.
So with HD's way too expensive $180 price on the same battery we can get for approx $100 thats likely why HD doesnt sell near as many repl batteries.
But if the bean counters @ HD werent so greedy wanting to make $100-120 per battery and cut price to a more realistic $130-140 they would sell a lot more batteries while still making $70-90 per battery likely making more money then they ever did on batteries due to higher sales volume.
And those bean counters also dont realize because they over price the batteries that results in less bikes passing thru srvc dept for battery replacement form guys that dont wrench where sometimes other issues are noticed by the HD tech that could equate to more srv'c work along with the new battery.
The way your eating batteries I would give the Charging System a thorough check.
That, or the "Battery Tender" you think you are using is actually a cheap Trickle Charger. Trickle Chargers will cook a battery in a rather short period of time, depending on the state of charge and the electrolyte level. Trickle Chargers do not shut off on their own and will overcharge a battery if left unattended. An overcharging condition (cooking the battery) can even reach a point that the battery itself can become quite unsafe if the electrolyte falls below the level of the plates in even one cell. The battery can actually explode. Not fun at all!
