I'm on my third battery already and have only owned my bike 5 years. I've had a Harley battery, a Duralast and a Wal Mart brand and none has lasted more than two years. Can anyone suggest a good brand? And yes, I do use a battery tender. What sucks the most is the price of them and the crappy warranty!
Yuasa GYZ series battery , you can tell that they actually spend money making a better battery, the posts have threaded brass inserts in them, and they have more CCA (500) than an hd battery. http://www.automotivepartsfactory.co...-46569677.html
We use Yuasa brand exclusively where I work (offshore). Owing to our experience with them, I'll be giving Yuasa my business when it comes time to replace my OEM battery. My OEM battery, after 2 years, seems perfectly OK so far.
Many different brand names are actually the same battery. The Deka EXT-30L is sold under different brands, but Battery Mart mentioned above has the best price. No brass inserts in the posts though. Available through many auto parts stores, $117 for me at NAPA. Get and use a battery tender if you don't have one.
