this is exactly my experience...i actually like the RG look better but felt more comfortable on the SG......i didn't want to buy the bike that looks better but i didn't feel as good on...i could care less if a gazzilion other people are riding SG's....its what felt good to me man...good luck on your decision
I cannot agree more.
But I "felt" right when I sat on RG.
Knew i'de get a little attention from the ''Fixed Family'' With the night turning to lite with the serious candlepower lighting today....The no turn is no issue.Right?
I prefer the RGU, the wife prefers the Street Glide. She likes the batwing because it protects her hands from wind better. I like the sharknose because I don't get wind transferred to the handlebars (bad shoulder).
I'm 6'3, she's 5'4. Corbin stretched my seating position, pushed hers up. I run Heritage bars, she runs Reduced Reach. Hers is lowered 1" front and rear. She can ride mine, but it's a stretch. I can ride hers, but feel like a Shriner on a Honda 70.
The Road Glide fits me better than any other. I had a '06 Road King, and traded it in for a '07 Road Glide. No regrets whatsoever, even though I took a big $ hit. Put over 33k miles on the '07, and traded it on the first 2011 RGU the local dealer got in August 2010. I've ridden the Rushmores and the 2015 CVO RGU, and they are even better - but not enough to justify the $$$ to trade. The wife had a 2010 SG, totaled it in August, will pick up her new 2016 SGS this weekend. Dealer is installing a ProPipe, Stage1 a/c and download, chrome front end, CB, and lowering it front and rear.
Ride them both, and get what speaks to you. There is no bad choice between the two.

It really is a non-issue....
You only "turn" your handle bars at slow slow speeds....
You "lean" into corners all other times....
Some people follow the crowd and are comfortable..
While others step out on their own and experience enjoyment
in a whole new light !!!
The Road Glide wasn't built for everyone, just a certain few.
