I just got a 15 road glide. way better ride than the street glide and more comfortable. I'm 6'4" tall.

If you're planning to drop $20+ for a new bike, you really need to make the trek and find a place that will let you test ride, even if it means spending the day and driving out of state.
I tested both and preferred the Street Glide over the Road - I'm 6'2" and even with my long arms, the fairing on the Road Glide just seemed a long way away. After many long days of riding - I'm happy with my choice and now understand why there are so many Street Glides on the road...numbers speak and we all can't be wrong - but you need to get what suits you....

If you can't decide get a Road King, flexibility for the indecisive!

Road Kings just rule either way!

I have to admit they are great looking bikes. Road Glides are starting to pick up in popularity. A few years back you could go for weeks without seeing one.

It's going to be the same thing with RG's soon. Everybody and their brother is jumping on that bandwagon.

I used to think Street Glides were the best looking of the touring family, but the new Rushmore Road Glides look fantastic in my opinion.. its a toss up on for me on which looks better. as for ride, the road glide definitely turns better, but they both have their wind management issues

I always thought they were the same bike for the most part, except you do not need to deal with weight of the faring on the RG. Isnt the height, suspension the same?
I know you can add lowers or tour packs to both.
What is the real difference between the two? Besides rje fairing

I was looking at road glides and street glides but ended up with an ultra limited. Gotta ride them all IMO.

It's the exact same bike, which invalidates more than a few replies.

My Dad bought a RG back in May and I was set on getting one until I test road it back to back with the SG. The SG seemed more compact and nimble to me with better visibility directly in front of you. The fairing on the RG makes the bike feel much longer as well, to me anyway. So I bought the SG and have been extremely happy with it. The only thing I would change is getting rid of that tiny windshield, I bought a 7" LRS recurve and the bike is now perfect.
