Default Oil pump question

I just got a Fueling 7010 oil pump and it has no oring or machined groove for the oring on the face of the pump. I have tried all day to contact them, but their phone system sucks big time. Does anyone know whether this pump actually runs without a face o-ring?

The 07+ Touring engines do not have the large o-ring between the pump and cam support plate.

Only the TC88 engines have that...

This is an 03 tc88 and according to the Dennis Kirk site it is an exact match for that machine. I'm not going to put it in until I know for sure all is correct. Thanks for your input

It's possible to upgrade to the newer style oil pump and cam support plate that eliminates the o-ring. But then you'd also need to get new conversion cams to fit the engine case and new support plate.

Does the Feuling oil pump require the use of their support plate? If I recall, they do offer a support plate.

Got an email from Fueling and he told me they had dropped the o-rings in their pumps and no longer used them on the pump faces. I installed new cam brgs, new tensioner shoes, mine were about 65% gone, at 35.5k, and the new OE+ pump without totally removing the front pipe. The new pump holds about 11 psi (gauge) when warm, at idle, and a bit above 32 psi at speed. Although it wasn't absolutely necessary to change out the shoes, my piece of mind is satisfied now, and I can do a Long putt with my brother, without worrying about it. BTW, runout was.002"

Are you aware the max runout on a Feuling pump is.002? At least on the 07+ type. Im sure the tight clearances is why they dumped the orings.

I did the cams in my 09 EG last year. It had the O-ring between the pump and plate. It is a 96". However there is a diff between the standard engine cam plate, and the SE cam plate. I don't for sure but the SE cam plate might not have that o-ring.

Interesting, there isn't supposed to be an o-ring between the pump and plate on the 07 and later touring, makes no difference whether its 96", 103" or 110". If you had an o-ring, someone had it apart and got a case of head in the assitis, because it's not supposed to have one.
