I have 412's and they are just OK.
I'm looking to change mine for Ohlin's or Progressive 970's.
But still, 412's are better than stock.

Tried all possible settings and kept the first knotch. Smoother ride but harder bumps. I'm 190 pounds.
When we ride 2 up I go to the third knotch but I ride solo 90% of the time.

Those shocks can come with a standard spring or with a heavy spring. At your weight the heavy springs will be too stiff. Probably would be a good idea to ask what spring it has then visit Progressive's website to see if they will work for you.
I am 215# with the standard spring and have mine set 1 notch down from the stiffest setting.
I agree that they are OK, a good buy for the money and much better that the stock Harley air shocks.
