Thanks in advance!

yes a full size helmet will fit, it's quite roomy actually, it's not as wide as the more expensive ones but it is deep. I can get two helmets in there actually, but they are half helmets. It's a lot bigger than it looks.

The backrest is comfortable, I cant attest to the durability of it, however the pad looks to be a quality item. I think if you are only using it as a backrest and keep it stored in a nice safe space out of the sunlight when not in use you should get many years of good use out if it.

EDIT: Sorry I re-read your question about the back rest...I have the quick detach sissy bar and it hits you kind of mid back, where this one is up a little higher, gives Her something more to lean back against. I also got her to sit on the bike when I was mounting the pack and got the fore-aft position of the backrest where she could lean back a little (and give a little more room). I have the sundowner touring seat and it has a nice big wide passenger seat on it...may have to be slid forward a little more for a factory Harley seat...

Well, since you not stuck on the Moco styled box, why not "think out of the box ", and make, or have made something custom? To your own specs. I had an Amish tack maker make me a trunk out of hand tooled saddle leather. Reinforced it with diamond plate and threaded rod covered in rubber hose, and bolted it with angle iron to the rack. I guess in all fairness, my bike is brown and works with tooled saddle leather, but i bet any leather shop could do the same in black. Just posting ideas......

This is the best tourpak I've seen yet.

She, actually. Harleybabe4life on Instagram, and she's cute too and rides that Street Glide all over the country. She actually had one of the tourpaks mentioned earlier that failed on her, I don't know exactly how or why, but all of her **** ended up all over the highway. This was a cobbled together fix in a Home Depot parking lot lol

I snapped a pic of the rear of the bike with the tour pack on, I got a 5 dollar Harley sticker, dude sent a punisher decal, so I stuck it on there too...crooked I might add, oh well. Said it once, will say it again, for 120 bucks...can't beat it. Someone earlier made a darn good point, use it a few times, you don't like it or it breaks, swap it out for a better one.

Carpeted the inside this weekend, cost me about 20 bucks for the materials and spray glue.

Robbz28 Did you mount the pack to a regular luggage rack? If so how much passenger seat room did you lose? I ask because my luggage rack curves up in the back. About 2" from the end.

It's a detachable luggage rack, not sure the brand as it was already on the bike, but I didn't lose any passenger room. You can put the pack on as far up or back as you want on your rack...yes it has mounting holes already in the bottom, but that don't mean you have to use them, it comes with a few options for mounting, I lucked out and was able to use the existing holes. The rack I had was a monster, in fact if you look you can see it actually sticks out from the back of the rack a little...I could actually loosen and slide my pack back another few inches if need be, but it is where the wife wants it...for now anyway.
