Default 07 Street Glide Mufflers

Hey - just picked up an 07 Streetglide and getting conflicting information from the dealer about 2" aftermarket Rousch mufflers. I'm thinking of putting them on my bike (replacing the stock), and not sure if I put them on, do I need todo a recal on the ECM or not? One dealer says yes - another says no.Anyone else putting aftermarket mufflers without the recal?

thanks -

You Might have to is the right answer... Depending on the flow rate of the replacement mufflers.. Contact ROUSCH and ask them or DO A SEARCH here as I know there have been many threads that address the same question... Easy way to tell... replace them and watch for bluing of the ft header... There is a opening next to the right floorboard "IF" you start to see heavy bluing then YEA ya better... But if ya have to go that route... Finish off the Stage ! and it will: RUN COOLER - RUN BETTER - SOUND BETTER!!!

According to Rousch they say if you stay with the 1.5" the 1.75" and up tothe2" baffles and keep the stock air cleaner set up things will be just fine with no re calibration required. But if you change the air cleaner or go with the 2.5" baffles a re calibration is then required.

Take Care,

I put a set of Wild Pig slip-ons with 1 3/4" baffles on my buddy's 07 Street Glide..............no problems at all.

You're not allowing any more air into the motor, all you are doing is making it sound better.

Are you talking about the Rush slip-on's? If so I think you would be fine with the 1.75 but for the money the bike will sound better and run better and cooler if you go ahead and put the air filter and a tuner on.

Guys-

Thanks for the post. Sounds like for my money, I'm better off to put the Rush slip-ons, switch out the air cleaner, and do the recal. Why wouldn't I put a bit of extra money to make it run cooler and sound better? Thanks for the advice - much appreciated.
