It does.

News Flash - the 2016's have been out now for several months. Magnum's right; you're math is flawed.

Really.

$0.02 worth.
Move to an area where they have mobile phone service & you might change your mind. It's actually less distracting than using the CB. Haven't heard anyone suggest never using the CB.

OK since only one person out of all the posts has given you a good answer I'll be the second. Go with the AKE system. Its gonna take a while to get here from over seas but it works great. I positioned all the hardware under the seat and just put the on/off switch on the console. Of course to do it this way you will have to install a console from say Craigslist, or swap meet. I got mine for 5$ the system was 179 if I remember right and the cord from HD yes you still need it less then 50. But you can work all the functions included with your particular radio with the push to talk button on the left handlebar. Sorry so lenghty. As for the people who don't like this idea.....You don't have to post here or even read about it. That's why we put a title on are posts so you don't even have to open them.

When I first installed it I put all the wires and the box where you see in the picture.. I've since moved the wires to a position just under the nose of the seat. They just barely reach.

That is a good solution UltraSteveUSAF. I was thinking about doing something similar. Thanks for posting pictures.

I don't make calls when I ride but I have to receive calls for my profession. I use the Sena SMH-5 with my IPhone 6 Plus. I found the Harley system not to my liking, and do not want wires hanging down from my lid flopping in the wind.

Oh, gotcha.

Ezzackly! Trust me, if Harley had a Bluetooth headset we wouldn't be stuck in this mess. Ok, it would be $500, but at least we'd have the option!

SMH-10 here, and I love it! We actually have four, two riders and two passengers can all talk while we ride.

Dual benefit, you have the outlet to charge the phone, you can see who is calling, and you are less likely to leave it behind on the handlebars since it is right in your face.

If you want music, then just put all your music on a thumb drive. They are tiny, cheap, and indestructible. Loads music faster than your phone too I bet.
Got the handlebar mount and a charge cable. Installing it today!
