Cut the ends off of a set of factory mufflers in anticipation of installing a set of FulSac baffles. To my total surprise there is nothing in there except a 6" long plug at the end of the muffler that has some holes in it and a thin wrap of fiberglass right against the inside of the can that is held in place by a wire mesh cage.
For anyone contemplating drilling a factory muffler to get more sound, you are just going to end up with a straight pipe and probably loose some torque.
I also gutted a head pipe and took pics of the process if anyone needs a tutorial.
