I have a 2014 FLHRC Road King. I want to install a leather tour pack on it but the parts guys at the HD dealership says the rack thats fits it doesn't fit the 2014 FLHRC and there isn't a rack that does. I looked online and I can't seem to find any.
If any of you has installed a leather tour pack on a 2014 FLHRC please let me know How.
I also installed a visor from HD on the main headlamp but there remains an ugly gap at the bottom. I've seen pics online with the visor completely closed. Does any one know how its done?
This is the stock rack on a 14 FLHTK with the TP removed. There's a bunch of slots to mount whatever? I don't know how the leather packs mount or how the FLHRC has to mount but thought id show you the stock one and if it may help?
If HD does not like the way a part will loo
k like on a model they dont list any compatabiliy. Your bike is not diferent from a standard RK. Measure the mounting points for the rack to verify it will fit.
You can drill any of the holes you want on the bottom of the tourpack. GWaxley showed you a standard mounting rack. You just put the rack on , set the tourpak on, get it where you want, then take a sharpe or white grease pencil and go from underneath and mark the box through the holes , flip it over onto a blanket, and drill away. It is quite a rush, knowing if you don't do it correctly, you just wasted $800.. LOL
The headlight trim ring can be tightened enough to close the gap.
Mine was the same way when first put on. I had to tighten the hell out of
it to get it to close. That little screw will take a lot of punishment.
