Default Stage One Questions

First of all I have read quite a bit on this forum concerning these issues. I still need some clarification on a few things.

1) If I am only going to add SE A/C and some slip ons is there any advantage to using a SERT vs say a PC III or Techlusion DFO?

2) Can I just add a set of Supertrapp slip ons and not do an A/C or tuner?

I've heard you can add slip-ons and not re-tune. A brand new HD in my humble opinion needs a tune anyway to unleash the already there HP. I'd add the larger air intake, and the slip-ons and a tuner of your choice.

They run lean from the factory, so you need to richen it up a bit. You might as well add pipes,
air cleaner & recalibrate the ECM.

With SE A/C and slipons, your best choice would be the TFO or DFO made by the same company (techlusion) The SERT would be overkill for just the mods you are doing. The PC III would be also to an extent unless you wanted to dyno tune or buy a map for your upgrades.
You can just add the slipons but they also lean out an already lean fuel map and the TFI would help you out here with more fuel. It would run better than stock regardless of your mods with the TFI.
The dealer reflash also leaves you lean and works at it's best with HD parts that it is made for.
