Default what gauge wire, aux. switch

What gauge wire does the moco use for wiring all the stuff inside the nacelle on a 2011 road king. Or for any other bike? Looks like the headlamp wires, wires going to aux plugs, wires going to passing lamp plug are all the same size.

Also, for you flhrc buffs, confirm the orange with white stripe, red capped spade plug coming from headlamp plug is unused fender tip light power.

Thanks guys, if all works out I have a nice writeup for you.

I wouldn't say the or/white wire with cap is for the fender tip light. I have a FLHR and the wires were just there waiting to be used and my fender tip light still works. I attached a 12v receptacle to those wires and charge all my accessories with it....

the orange and white ones may be for a European running light that isn't used on US models

They are. I used them for my GPS. I just terminated the GPS wires with 1/4 spade connectors and plugged them in.

The capped plug from the headlight harness is for accessories. My Garmin RT Zumo 660 fairing mount instructions from HD even state to use the connectors found near the headlight. If the connectors are currently in use, the instructions say to "disconnect existing accessories from connector and use a Y harness to connect all accessories."

I wouldn't use anything smaller than an 18 ga wire in there

That clears things up a bit! Thanks. Can I hook the stock passing lamps up that wire then? I saw this orange / white wire used in a couple of the passing lamp mods. I would rather go to this than the aux switch if I can....

Why would you want to hook them up to those wires when they are already connected to the right switch on the nacelle??
