For those with stage 2 audio, here is my situation: Had the bike for 3 months and system hasn't worked from day one. They had to order a replacement speaker that was bad, which was done yesterday. After the change, the tech says it was still "throwing a code" to change the amp. So they put a "test" amp in place and still didn't work. So after buttoning everything back up, there was a slight change in volume, mainly the last half of the volume bar seems to get louder now. AVC still doesn't work and it's still hard to hear at highway speed. I only have Rinehart exhaust so not obnoxious. Since the system never worked, I really have no idea how loud it's supposed to be. Asking for input from others. TIA, Troy
The bestand only solution is to get rid of all that boom! bullshit. They're low quality, low power, overpriced garbage. Soundcustoms, hogtunes, and especially Biketronics sell badly superior systems for better prices
I understand you have a 300W amp with Stage II speakers in the fairing. I have a 300W amp with Stage I. I've got 4 speakers now, but started with just two in the fairing. Even with half the wattage you've got (75w/speaker stage 1; 150w/speaker stage II) I could always hear the music clearly going down the road (70+). You should do as well with your system. If you're not, there's something wrong.
BTW, when I upgraded to the Stage I (amp/speakers) my AVC quit working and hasn't worked since. I didn't change the customer download I was using, so I presumed the difference was in the download the dealer did to configure the system for the Stage I. FYI.

Thanks to all for responding. I found the other thread for Boom stage "ii" which is why it didn't show up in my search. Alan, funny you mention, on my 14, which was stage 1, AVC worked and wasn't terrible. On the '15, it doesn't work. Since it sounds so good sitting still, I keep thinking that may be part of the problem. I would bet 80% or better think the HD stuff six, so I'll try to get my money back but you know they will want to try a bunch of BS before that happens.
