It seemed that the footboard dragged before the footboard bracket did in the past. I did the extended reach rider footboard pans (1" forward) and the footboard bracket spacers (3/4" out). Those mods have been on for a while, but my riding style hasn't changed. I guess the footboard going forward has allowed less of the footboard to grind first?
Anyway, when I felt the lever effect from the bracket grinding, I stood the bike up immediately. I was going about 15 around a 90 degree right hand turn. Am looking for ideas on peg feelers that sport bikes have for the unlikely event I get into it that hard again. Maybe there are aftermarket brackets that are more ideal. I did find these: http://www.tallboyscycles.com
Open to constructive suggestions and not so much lectures about riding it a little too hard. Below are some photos showing what was hitting and how little the floorboards were in road contact.
Floorboards for the Limited Low & Ultra Low models have what you're looking for... little warning tabs.

Scrapes all too easily. Bought 3 months ago knowing it is low, partly because it is low.
Until then riding 05 XL883C, 4.4" clearance, which I hardly ever scrape.
imo, scraping the pegs takes weight off the tires at the worst possible time, a sharp turn. Cool-ish knowing you are that close to the edge but I'd rather be able to lean farther.
Still have the Sporty Sport Glide . . . . and still want the big twin bagger.
Ahhh, First World Problem.

I hear ya there about the edge. Feels weird to keep the bike upright and lean off like on a sport bike. Although, it really can corner well when you do that
I found this thread about the feelers that come on the low touring models that had some info about them not fitting: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...eet-glide.html
Thought I'd post it to further this thread
I and a lot of others here use the Kuryakyn relocation brackets. They don't move the mounts out away from the frame, only the floorboards. They are 1" out and 1" forward. This helps eliminate dragging hard parts.
