Possible yes, but likely no. Once you disconnect the negative cable (and the negative is the one you should always do first) you would have to touch both battery terminals with a conductor at the same time. The bike frame, or other metal components, are no longer a ground once the negative cable is disconnected.

Remove the maxi fuse - AND KEEP UP WITH IT!!!
Things get sad when you finish, and can't find the maxi fuse...
