Looks like an issue with speedo and or tach. Simply Google Harley Code u1097 and normally it will lead to a thread on this forum or another HD forum with good info. But no I personally have not had or dealt with this code.
This all started with a bad o2 sensor I changed that and my battery was getting weak so l put a new battery in it. Started it up and did a power vision auto tune. When returned home I noticed I had the code. I down loaded my tune but I never took the bike back out for a test ride. Did some reading on it ,never did figure anything out. After about an hour went back out started the bike and it never threw the code. Damned if I know what happened, somebody mentioned your supposed to pull maxi fuse when changing batteries and of course I didn't. I'll take it for a fifty mile ride tomorrow and see how it does and let you know. Thx for any and all the help.
So this was a historic code you found and not one that threw an idiot light?
Clear it, and If it doesn't come back don't worry about it.
It happens when I load a new map with the Power Vision because it disconnects the ECM during the process.
If I am going to be doing several tuning runs I don't bother clearing it until finished with all the runs.
No I don't think it was historic cause I could clear it and when I would star it again it would return, however all of sudden it just doesn't come back go figure.
