Not normal. looks like someone was lazy putting it on. Must have been during the strike

I never had a gap with either the stock or sundowner seat.
Looks like it is not pushed forward enough. Shoddy fit/finish.
I'd say something unless you plan on replacing the seat anyways.

Got the same gap on my RG. HD sells a little cover that would work to help cover the gap. Part# 52447-96 and it costs $24.95 I'll be getting one for myself soon in hopes it will cover the paint spot on my tank that is being rubbed off by my seat. [:@]

I went to the dealer today to get the exhaust installed and I looked at the 4 RK Classics on the floor and they all had the gap. The other RK's (RK and Custom) didn't have it..different seats. The only Classic that was flush was a rental outside also an 07.

My Mustang seat has a gap just like yours, maybe more. But my Sundowner seat fits flush.
