Tookmy 9 yr old son and his buddy yesterday to the 1st annual LI BikeFest in eastern LI. Not as big as I would have hoped, very limited vendors, although the stunt shows the boys loved. Ridin quads standing on front bumper leaning over handlebars and then pullin up to a wheelie and ridin, cool...I hope these two geniuses aren't gettin any ideas!
Hopefully this will grow over the next couple years. Was out there on Saturday puttin some miles on the RK cruising around the vineyards with the ms, what a day...anyway...
On the way east out there, on the otherside headin back west on I495 (3 lane hwy)wassix rows on HDs; 6 per row, 2 per lane. Doesn't that just get your heart poundin! The twoboys had their heads out of the back window like a couple of kanines in total awe!! All I heard the rest of the day was how their gonna go ridin like that oneday. I may take my boy on a March of Dimes run later this month after I saw how excited he got. He'd be blowin away by 2500+ bikes!!!! Safe to say HD has another generation hooked and ready to carry on the tradition.
