Wondering if anyone has a tombstone taillight on their touring bike. There are some out there, and distributor includes my bike in fit list but reviews on fitting are mixed... so hoping for your feedback. Want to install on 2011 flhrc.
what you are up against is that late model Harley's have an electrical board under the taillight into which the turnsignals, plate light, tip light etc all plug in.
this makes a large horizontal oblong hole in the fender...the tombstone is a vertical oblong.
You can do this but to do right would be to relocate the electrics and weld in ( fill) the hole, smooth, paint and install tombstone.
the tombstone has reduced viewing angle...fewer drivers may know you are there or if you are braking.
I have and have had tombstones- but all on older bikes- nothing newer than a '54 ( last year for Tombstone)
