It is for that reason alone I would consider the Ultra Lmited.
If I could swing it $$$S wise I would buy one.
I have an Oil bud cooler on. It is the biggest O C that is made and the most expensive.
They guarantee a 35 drop in temps. It does that but just shy of $600 bux is a lot of green.

Well you said it ,i didnt!/LOL!!!

But the fact is an oil cooler on a bike without elec cooling fans is just about useless " when sitting still at stoplights " and if marginally use full at slow road speed.

The only time an oil cooler on a bike is working close to & or at its full efficiency (max temp reduction as stated by the mfg) is when the motorcycle/oil cooler are at a sustained decent cruise speed with max airflowing thru the core of the oil cooler and " not sitting still at stoplights " and or " in slow moving traffic" with little to no air flow thru the oil cooler greatly reducing its efficiency/ability to disapate heat which on a hot summer day is when oil/engine temp rises quickly without fan assisted oil cooler and help from wards fans too.

Without fan assist cooling on the oil cooler the oil/motor wont begin to cool off again until the motorcycle /oil cooler get back up to a sustained cruise speed thats fast enough for full/max airflow thru the oil cooler .

Then & only then will the oil / engine temp that increased significantly when sitting still at stop lights and or when is slow moving traffic tart to go down again .

I got caught in a bad traffic jam due to an accident this past summer in 90-95deg f HHH in stop/go traffic where i never got out of 1st gear for 50-55mins and with the wards fans and ultracool oil cooler with duel elec fans on my bike the engine oil temp maxed at 245-247 never hitting 250 deg f again, never getting out of 1st gear and sitting a lot for over 50-55mins in 90-95deg f HHH summer heat.

The motor did just fine but my buddy on his metric that had an air cooled 1700cc v-twin was roasting him on the bike and the motor was was knocking and valvetrain got very noisy becuase the motor & oil was very overheated ,he had a frech oil change of M1-v-twin 20w-50 syn oil in his bike that didnt seam to handle the extreme heat cond all that well.

He could not believe how well the 2 cooling system mods on my bike kept the engine & oil temp under control when his bikes motor was roasting him off the bike and the motor sounded like it was going to come appart at any time too but thankfully didnt.

But he claims since the day he overheated the motor & m1 syn 20-50 in his bike the motor doesnt feel as crisp /trqy & powerful as it used to , the motor in general is more noisy mechanically then it used to be and that it now uses some oil too which it never used to do to.

I have been running the Ultracool Reefer for a year and a half with no issues and the Wards fans for 3-years. Other than the cooling line on the right side the install was pretty simple. I found I needed to attach the right cooling line to the cooler before mounting the cooler on the bike.
