Cool timing covers

the custom harley timing covers can you use the stock timing cover screws or do you have to but the harley chrome screws thank you ride safe

Yes you can use the old screws, but if you're buying the new timer cover from Harley it comes with new screws.

Just a tip here, if you are changing the whole timing cover (I know that wasn't your question) to a new chrome one, run a tap up those timing cover holes before you try to put screws in it the first time. The chrome in the holes is a bit too thick and could cause the screw to lock up and twist off. Saw a dealer technician doing this and when I changed out my cover I found it a necessary thing.

Mine liked to come loose so I highly suggest, as nearly every threaded install on a Harley, using Loctite. Blue of course.
