12 RKC Ride Height
Let me elaborate a little bit, I inherited my fathers bike, who was a bit taller then me (6'1 vs 5'9). I never knew anything about Harley's before all of this happened. But I jumped in with both feet and have been loving it for the last couple of years now.
That being said, I can ride just fine, but I dont quite get the "comfortable" feet on the ground when I stop. I was never quite sure what mods my Dad had done to his bike. So when I got it, I had the front / and rear end done with low pro touring suspension to try and help. That still didn't do it for me and finally this year when I did some tire work outside of the HD shop, I found out that the front end has an 18" wheel on the front, not the std 16".
Low and behold I think i found my problem. My concern is now that I've done a full low pro suspension, I dont wan't to go back to the 16" front wheel and have it be too low. I have seen a few 17" front wheels, but still am not sure about the best way to go for this.
Thoughts, suggestions?
I'm a little shorter than you and did the HD profile lows as well when I got my RK. Also did a seat mod to lower me another 1 1/2". Might try that first. Most use Mean City Cycles here and are happy. They can lower and narrow your seat to get you 'more comfortable' on the ground.
Its goofy, I can get my feet down fine, but to get flat footed I can't sit back in my seat. I'd have to sit forward if that makes any sense.
