Default 100mph

Couldn't help myself...open strech of freeway prior to my exit, no one to pass except a pickup with a H-D sticker in the rear window, so I let 6th gear just keep going. I hit 100 and stopped, figuring that was enough for the night. Smooth as silk! Maybe not the smartest thing to do.

It yours, you felt safe, and you enjoyed it. I hit 99 mphwith me and the Mrs. The bike just wouldn't do anymore. I either need a 95 inch or a diet.

so what do ya think? was that enuff for you or did it just feed the fire? where are you riding? I'm in New Mexico and there is a lot of room to cut loose, wide open spaces. i often catch myself cruising along at 90+, just hope PD doesn't catch me too!! i am a little disappointed that the cruise control drops out at about 84mph, everybody around here does that or more on the interstate

Interesting!!
I have never tried my cruise control on higher speeds than 65-80.
Now I'm on a mission.
I'll have to see if mine cuts out at 84mph too.
Maybe Uncle Wille G is watching out for us. lol

First off, you can't spell DIET without die! I'm fat, 'so what? Wanna fight about it?" lol

Second. ROADNAMES, I, too, live in NM. I live on the west side of Albuquerque. At the end of Paradise. I cruise on I-25/40 at 85+ mph. Sometimes I have no idea. BUT, don't know if you have read the news lately... Those nifty lil' red light cameras that also catch speeding are headed for the Interstate. Yep, like the red light cameras aren't enough of a money maker, they are setting up cameras to catch speeders on I-25 and I-40. Great news for all. [:@]If I am speeding let the cops catch me! This blows. What's next? helmet laws? Seat belts on my harley? Government has to get the f**k outta my life. If I need something, I will let 'emknow! Sorry, had to rant a bit. [sm=rant.gif]

ROADNAMES, if you happen to see this bike. Stop me to say 'hi'. If a lil guy is riding it, call the cops, the lil' bastard stole my bike!

Yep, I'm violently opposed to those damned cameras... it's just total Big Brother and that's BS. Duct tape over your license plate will fix that - screw 'em.

I put some of the spray over my plate, but have doubts to its affectiveness. And I am in no hurry to find out. They make a cover that would seem to more affective, but have only seen them for cars/trucks. Doesn't really matter, NM has said in the papaer today that they are illegal tohave over your plate. Came up at a news conference, some deputy sheriff put one on his patrol car. He is in hot water now. My boss and I were talking about it yesterday. He says he sets his cruise control in his truck 2 mph less than the limit. But said he was against them, because he got a ticket in the mail. Seems his wife was driving her car and got caught, but since his name appears on the title before his, the ticket was sent to him. LOL I have read a few posts about fighting the tickets, but nothing is definative on the matter. People here know where the cameras are and speed until they get to them, and then slam on the brakes to avoid tickets. Tell me, how is that suppose to be safe? Seems to me, if the traffic is all moving at the same speed, regardless of the posted limit, that would be safer. Oh well, until I find a way to fight it, or the damn things are removed... I will remain PO.

100mph comes too easy, and when that urge hits, have always picked the places with no traffic, and open country. We do not want any surprizes.Especially those with the gum machines on their roofs.
