Default Difference in volume/tone of different Rush baffles on my EGC...

Just put a set of Rush slash down slipons on my EGC last week with 2" baffles. Tone is nice & deep, but the volume is too loud for my tastes. Looking at changing to a 1.75" or maybe even a 1.5", which is available according to Rush's website, so my teeth will quit rattling and I can hear the radio again.
Anyone running these size baffles? Just wondering how much of a difference the smaller baffles will make? I don't want to spend $60-$70 for an imperceptible change. I know sound volume/quality is relative so opinions will be general, but how are they as compared to the 2"? I'm hoping to get somethingmidways between stock and the 2" Rush for volume, and keep the deep sound. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone running the smaller baffles so I can't get a demo before purchasing.

So- anyone out there with the smaller baffles who can offer up an opinion? Thanks.

I'm currently running the 2.5" & love them. I would recommend the 1.75" as long as you thought the 2" wasn't obnoxiously loud. You will still getthat great low rumble tone that you have now. I have friends that run the 1.75" & at idle it soundsthe same as mine but not as loud when you hit the throttle. 1.5" is not much above stock - but you still have a good sounding low rumble.

Hope that helps!

I run the 2.25 and have heard the 2.5, based on what you posted I think you would probably like the 1.5 best.

I have the 1.75's on my SG, and I find them about right. Nice, low rumble at idle, barks on acceleration, but at cruise is just muted enough to hear the stereo. I would doubt the 2" would be much louder than the 1.75's, so if the 2" are too loud you may need to go 1.5. I haven't heard these but I doubt if 1/4" changes would make much difference. Had Fuel Moto had the 1.5's and I know what I know today, I'd go with them even though the 1.75's are quite satisfactory. That said, I would do it only if there wasn't a major performance hit, which I doubt if there would be in the important low and midrange.

I just talked to Jamie at Fuel Moto & told him I'm looking for something between stock & the sound of the 2".Like you guys, he said the 1.5" is what I'm looking for, so I ordered a set.

Thanks everyone for the opinions!
