I find putting in a new set of gaskets to be harder than anything. Freezing is a waste of time.

Use a short piece of 1 and 7/8" outside diameter PVC pipe to push the gaskets straight into place in the exhaust ports. Works every time!

Thanks again guys. So right now the pipes are on. I just had to put some muscle into it to get them lined up. Lesson learned. I am not sure if I should take them off and replace the gaskets, I know its hard to tell from that pic. I had them in good, what happened was the pipes were pressing against it and messed it up when I was having the troubles getting it lined up

I went and tried again, I think I can get it but I feel like I am having to pull on the rear to get it fitted, and guess I was apprehensive to mess it up assuming it was going to fit easily.

Now I am worried I jacked up the gasket. I took a few pics trying to show what I have going on. One of them is showing the front alligned and one is showing what the back looks like at the same time
Do you have the right gasket? There are two types depending on your header flange type: tapered and straight. Contact where you bought them and ensure you have the correct gaskets or else you will be fighting just to get a thread or two on and it will still leak.

Yes, I have the cone gaskets in. According to the pipe instructions that is the ones that need to be used.

As all headers are "similar" in that they are a tight fit, I had "luck" installing the rear cylinder first. As they ultimately need to come together as one mounts in front of the cylinder and the other in the back, maybe tight is good.
Take a break, take a deep breath and give it a clear-headed go again... Good luck.

Headers definitely take some man handling to get installed. Change those gaskets. Even though it's a huge PITA.
