looking to do an internal throttle on my 06 road king. any one done this before? my bike has dual throttle cables and to my knowledge I can get ride of the return one. anyone one that has done this mod please PM me as I have a few questions for you.
I've removed the return cable but no internal throttle. The return cable is a DOT mandate, there are probably hundreds of thousands of muscle cars in the world with no return cable/linkage. It isn't mandatory for proper operation.
has anyone done this on newer bikes? i know old bikes in the 70s had the internal throttle and touring bikes newer than 2008 have throttle by wire but has anyone with say a 98-07 touring add change to the internal throttle? im building a road king and im trying to clean everything yup. already have wires ran internally but id like to run my cable inside as well if i can. what brand did you go with... and do you have a link to the internal throttle that you used?
If your bike won't go, that's bad. If your bike won't stop, that's worse. Are you sure you really want to get rid of the redundant safety feature? I guess there is always the kill switch if you think of it in time.
