Front Top Stabilizer Link

Good morning Gurus,

2010 UC. I started hearing a chirping noise from the front like something's loose.

I let the bike idle and isolated it to the stabilizer link.

Question: Is this supposed to have some play in it? While the bike is idling, I can move it around.

This morning when I went out to look at it some more, now it doesn't move.

Advice please.

It should have some rotational play but no side to side or end play.
To eliminate chirp, best thing is to pull it off and saturate it with oil, wipe off excess and reinstall.

I use silicon spray lubricant on mine. I think it's better for the rubber than oil but maybe it doesn't matter.
