I am going to look at a 2012 EGC tomorrow.
Is there anything about the 2012's that I need to look out for, or need to know?
It has 12k on it, all stock other than seat, backrest, klock works windshield, and grips. it does still have original tires though
Should be a nice step up from the 06 RK that I am riding now. Had a 99 RK before that.
Sorry, I know I can search the net (and I will) but don't have much time to search before tomorrow, so i'm hoping to get some info faster if I need it.
At 12K it would probably need tires. And even if the tread is not quite gone, the tires are 5 years old and would need changing. Also, if you can test ride it, then try starting it when its hot, you might get a feel for if the compensator is going bad.
I had 3 different 2012 Ultra Limited's and they were great bikes. Some folks had trouble with the Voltage Regulators for that year but mine were fine.
Take it for a test ride but before you get back within sight of the seller remember to wipe the grin off your face!
Good Luck
I had a 12 ultra in tegiula Orange. Only thing I noticed is the valve train was a little noise. Other than that it was the best looking bike I have owned.
sounds like I should be in pretty good shape. I did fail to mention that he said the regulator recall had ben done.
I've been wanting a 6sd for several years. The 103 and the new frame is a bonus. the only thing it doesn't have that I wanted was ABS.
thanks for your advise
Im very happy with my 12. I went from an 07 street glide and the difference was huge. Forgot all about the street glide on the ride home from the dealer. Got mine with 6k on it last fall and no issues yet.
